Accu-Berry Edwin Meets CEO of Blackberry Thorsten Heins

IMG_0910

Blackberry no longer will be called RIM as of February 4, 2013. After the announcement event in the morning of January 30, 2013, Blackberry(RIM) had their Blackberry 10 Fan Event,  in my opinion it was a hit.  As you can see from the picture above Accu-berry.com very own Edwin Gomez and Will Duran from All Blackberry All The Time posed for pictures at the event.  Blackberry sure knows how to throw a party for their beloved long time fans.  I personally have been with Blackberry since the Blackberry 8700g which came out in 2004.  In the Fan Event we got hands on with the Blackberry z10 and Blackberry OS 10.  Within the crowd of RIM employees some were roaming the floor showing off there beloved Blackberry Q10. Will Duran and Edwin Gomez had a great time mingled amoung some of the best Blackberry Bloggers and best smartphone fans ever.

In the first major announcement at the global launch from the stage in New York city, Thorsten Heins reveals that Research in Motion is no more.

From this point forward – we are BlackBerry. One Brand. One Promise

This move makes a lot of sense as BlackBerry has always been the iconic brand for RIM. We have also heard from CNN Fortune that RIMM will soon begin trading as BBRY on the NASDAQ.

Check out what BlackBerry CMO has to say about the rebranding.

Blackberry Z10 in White Says Hello World

BlackBerry Z10 white

Just two days before the big BlackBerry 10 launch event around the world, the BlackBerry Z10 has made another appearance on camera. This time things are a bit special as it’s the white variant stealing the show. We haven’t seen or heard too much on this model aside from a few renders and a peek at Verizons BB10 site, but it’s been rumored all along that both a white and black model would be available.

I don’t know about you, but I’m really digging the white on the Z10. I’ve never been into white phones before (that’s Kevin’s thing) but since this one bears a striking resemblance to a Stormtrooper, I think I might be going that way this time around. I don’t have any issues with the standard black version, I just think classing it up in white might be the way to go this time.
