The new Alarm Clock application Wakeful is at it again bringing you a brand new Wakeful Beta for BlackBerry.

An alarm clock that recites local weather, stock information, and news, Wakeful is a shortcut to a productive day.

features are:

  1. Snooze Option: For all of you who hate getting up in the morning, the much requested Snooze button has been added.
  2. Female Voice: A new female voice was added to the mix to make your mornings a little more enjoyable.  Just visit Account Settingsto change your voice preference.
  3. Volume Control: Now you can wake up without Wakeful screaming at you!
  4. Background Process: Instead of Wakeful running all of the time, it only runs when it needs to.  This hides it from the Task Switcher and is really good on the old battery life.
  5. Power Up Feature: If you turn off your BlackBerry at night, Wakeful will turn your phone back on right before your alarm is going to go off.
  6. Test Alarm: If you want to show off Wakeful to your friends without changing your alarm there is a now a Test Alarm button.
  7. Auto-Update: This version will now auto-update if there is a newer version of Wakeful.

In addition to all of those features, we fixed some bugs releated to our server and everything seems fairly stable.  We are aware our user interface could use some serious love…  It’s on our list!

So without further delays I present the link to the latest Wakeful beta.  Just open the following URL in your BlackBerry browser and it will prompt you to download.

UberTwitter Now UberSocial

UberSocial

As you all saw in my post dated February 18, 2011, Third Party Twitter App Suspended for Violating Twitter Policy, Ubertwitter was suspended by Twitter for violating their API policy.  Will as of Yesterday Ubertwitter has agreed to Twitters API policy and is now back up and running, but under a new name.  Ubertwitter is now UberSocial as you can see from the picture above.  Here is what Twitter had to say about the situation:

This is the update on Twitters website:

We’ve given the developers of twidroyd and UberSocial for Blackberry (formerly UberTwitter) access to the Twitter API again. Our initial review indicates that steps have been taken to remedy the violations for these applications.

When the developer updates twidroyd and Ubersocial, you’ll be able to download their updates to access Tweets again on these applications.

Just click on the link to pick up ubertwitter’s new renamed app ubersocial: ubersocial.com/blackberry/
