BBnews.pl Show Us How To Bridge works On The PlayBook

Without a doubt one of the most interesting feature is the BlackBerry PlayBook is Bridge App, the way in which we will be able to view or edit data on your terminal, on the larger screen of the tablet. How simple is the process?

During the MWC 2011, bbnews.pl was not allowed to take  video of the process, but someone in their staff was able to take pictures of the exhibition during the process. The same person in the staff was able to sync their BlackBerry with the Bridge with Bluetooth.

Just go to device settings, select the “Paired Devices” – the device you want to sync will appear on the screen. Your blackBerry will prompt you to download a special application (at the moment the app is called “Sapphire” and is not available in AppWorld yet). To make it easier for us, a link to download can be sent automatically to the specified email address, or view it as a 2D code, as you see in the picture.

The bar coding process is much easier – The Playbook show you the code 2D, you can scan using your bar code scanner on BBM(BlackBerry Messenger). After the scan the BlackBerry smartphone and PlayBook are now paired, it syncs immediately.  Your BlackBerry device is now being amplified on a bigger brighter HD screen. Once you disconnect the BlackBerry smartphone and go back to the Playbook ia as if you wasn’t connected to it.  The PlayBook is clean, not one drop of your data is on it.

As of right now the only app you can pair with the BlackBerry Playbook from your BlackBerry device are email client, bbm, calendar, memo pad and tasks. Imagine what possibility can bring when other company’s start to use this feature. and start to amplify their apps.  All we can do is wait and see

T-Mobile Contest

I have always loved T-Mobile contest since I won a BlackBerry Pearl 8120 a few years back. Allistair let us know that T-Mobile has another one going with RIM on their Facebook page giving away ONE BlackBerry Bold 9780 and TEN BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G devices every week until April 7th. The last week from April 1st to April 7th they will be giving away 3 BlackBerry Bold 9780s and 10 BlackBerry Curve 9300s. That is a pretty cool contest if you ask me and its all to celebrate both devices getting BlackBerry 6.

T-Mobile Contest2

To enter the contest you must first “Like” the T-Mobile BlackBerry Facebook page (and give it access to your wall so it can post that you entered) and it will then ask you two contest questions. If you get those right you are entered to win so make sure to get them right! The contest is limited to the US only with a few exclusions and you can read the terms and conditions on the launch page.
